This year, we feature a conversation with Peter Manseau, Founding Director of the Center for Understanding Religion in American History at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History, and with President Brad Braxton, CTS, as we dig into the historical spiritual diversity on which this country was founded.
Mr. Manseau is the author of the book “One Nation Under Gods”. His work substantively advances the public understanding and celebration of our diversities—a critical message for our historical moment. Chicago Theological Seminary’s InterReligious Institute is offering a series of offerings this spring. As the nation celebrates 250 years, here at CTS, we are marking the 170th anniversary of our founding with the theme, “Daring Faith in Dangerous Times.” Much of our public-facing work contributes to the braver, fuller, and more accurate story about religion in the U.S. To that end, we are thematically connecting the 5th season of our podcast, OUR 7 NEIGHBORS, and an online exhibition called: A Tapestry of Faith – Online exhibit of art, artifacts, and stories of our community’s spiritual diversity, with our 2026 LaCocque Lecture. Join us for all!
